About this event
Join us for Patterns & Play: a fun Diwali themed storytime blending cultural exploration and creativity with Haathi Tales.
Join local children's author Sheena Garg, of Haathi Tales, for Patterns & Play — a joyful Diwali storytime and craft session for children aged 3–6 and their families.
The story of Diwali — the story of Rama and Sita, and why we create rangolis and light diyas.
Picture book reading — The Best Rangoli Ever. A missing box of rangoli colours threatens Veer and Rashi's Diwali party plans. Can they still make the best rangoli ever?
Show and tell — real diyas and rangoli patterns for an immersive experience.
Hands-on craft — every child makes their own rangoli artwork to take home.
Sheena Garg is the author of three picture books celebrating South Asian culture. Copies of her books will be available for sale during the event.
